Nikita Porwal from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, won Femina Miss India 2024 on October 16 at a grand event in Mumbai. Her poise, grace, and intellect earned her the title and the chance to represent India at the Miss World 2024 beauty pageant.
Who Is Nikita Porwal?
Nikita was born and raised in Ujjain, a city rich in spiritual and cultural heritage. She completed her schooling at Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School and later pursued higher education at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
From a young age, her parents encouraged her to question norms and think critically. This nurturing environment helped shape her individuality and fostered her passion for storytelling.
A Rising Star from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh
At just 18, Nikita has acted in over 60 stage plays. Among them is Krishna Leela, a 250-page self-authored production. Her acting dreams extend far beyond the stage. Nikita also starred in the film Chambal Paar, which gained recognition at international festivals. She aims to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, honing her craft as she moves forward.
Advocacy for Animal Welfare
Beyond acting, Nikita is a passionate advocate for animal welfare. She aims to use her platform to spread awareness about kindness and empathy for all living beings.
“I care deeply about animal welfare,” she shared. “As humans, we must protect the creatures that share this planet with us.” She plans to launch petitions to strengthen animal protection laws in India.
